Seeing P5
NGC 5248 is a fine face on spiral  about 50 million LY distant in the constellation Bootes.  It is  mag 10.2 and 6.5 arc minutes in diameter.  In the 20"  the object is very bright and the spiral structure is easy to detect.  the image was made at the EP under the mag 7 skies of Desert Center, CA April 11, 2005.
